Activation:

As an object lesson, you might invite the teachers to a potluck. Tell them that you will provide certain things (like plates, drinks, etc.). When they arrive, set out the table, without the items you were supposed to have there, and invite them to begin. After a few uncomfortable minutes, someone will ask where things are.

"Is something missing?" you ask.

"Yes! How are we supposed to eat without a plate or drink without a cup?"

"I'm sure you'll be fine..."

Just as your table is incomplete, your Primary is incomplete without all of your children! Finally bring out plates, cups and napkins, each with the name of a child that is missing from your primary written on it.

The food should draw the teachers, and you can have a game time where teachers can "win" things that will help them teach. Crayons, Idea pages, puppets, etc.
