SYMBOLS MATCH-UP
Print out the images and the matching
symbolism on separate cards. Number the backs of the cards, and place
randomly on a board with the numbers facing out. Have the children
pick a card and try to match the symbolism to the symbol.
The bell represents the bells worn by the sheep in the fields, and
the cows in the stable.
Lights represent the presence of God, and are a source of good.
Candy canes represent the staffs held by the shepherds.
Holly represents good fortune.
Trees represent everlasting life, as the needles point to Heaven.
Wreaths represent eternal life and the everlasting love of God.
The star represents the new star that led the wisemen to the Savior.
Presents represent the precious gift Heavenly Father gave us.
His only begotten Son.
Ornaments on the tree represent all of the beautiful things Jesus did.
