SKIT RESOURCES!
Skit Do’s and Don’ts
A skit is a short play with a message to send or a lesson to
teach. The following suggestions will help you while you are preparing
your skit:
- Begin with a purpose in mind. What do you want to accomplish?
- Develop a plot. Plan a beginning, deliver the message, then
tie it up with a great finish.
- Remember to include all the members of your group. Even
those who hesitate should be asked to participate.
- A skit may be funny or sad or tell a story, such as a fairy tale.
Skits can come from real life situations or parables.
- Only appropriate language, mannerisms and subject material should
be used in a skit. When in doubt leave it out.
- Skits should be interesting, fun loving and planned well so as
not to offend the Spirit.
