"Help Me, Dear Father"
Children's Songbook p. 99
Materials:

To Assemble:
Print, color and cut out the following illustrations.  Glue to cardboard and use cup or template to trace a circle around the illustrations. Cut again. On the back write the letter that is indicated with the picture. Cover with clear Contact paper or laminate disks.  Place in paper bag.  For the arrow, print out two circles and place back to back, sandwiching the popsicle stick between them.  Leave enough of the stick showing so a child can twirl the disk easily.

Add this illustration to the outside of the bag.

(You can also make a pocket of black paper on a piece of posterboard to place the disks in, or staple the sides of a manila folder for your doctor's bag.)

To Use:
Tell the kids you have a first aid kit for bad feelings.  There is something we can do when another person hurts our feelings, or when we have done something wrong that will also help us draw closer to our Heavenly Father.  Pull out the disks, and have children hold the disks in front of the group. For the younger ones, you can also make necklaces out of the disks for them to simply wear as they stand up front with you.  As you sing the part that goes with the pictures the children are wearing or holding, have them turn the disk over.  When you are done singing, you will have the word "FORGIVE" being held or worn by the children.

As you work on this song, turn over different disks, displaying only the letter.  By the time you are done, all you'll need to have for a reminder during the CSMP is a piece of paper with the word "FORGIVE" on it.

To save an image (they are reduced to fit your screen), simply place your mouse icon over the picture, click on the right mouse button, and "save as".  Then, you can pull it into your word processor or graphics program like regular clipart.
The images will be larger and clearer than they appear on the screen.
