Teach
Me to Walk in the Light
CS p. 177
This would be a good candidate for a notebook
format.
You could also use a long piece of butcher
paper with spaced folds (you can choose fanfold or rolling it up on itself),
placing the illustrations on each section.
For memorization:
-
See if the children can remember the words backwards
by unfolding the paper backwards.
-
Number each page or section (depending on the
format) and have the children select numbers(2)
from a can. Then, turn to the number page or section that matches
the number drawn and sing the song from that point.
-
Tear off a section as the children learn all
the words.
Art
To save an image
(they are reduced to fit your screen), simply place your mouse icon over
the picture, click on the right mouse button, and "save as". Then,
you can pull it into your word processor or graphics program like regular
clipart.
The images will
be larger and clearer than they appear on the screen.
Verse 1:
(picture of Christ)
Teach me to walk in the light of his love;
Teach me to pray to my Father above;
Teach me to know of the things that are
right;
Teach me, teach me, to walk in the light.
Verse 2:
(picture of child with adult)
Come, little child, and together we'll learn
Of his commandments, that we may return
(picture of second coming)
Home to his presence, to live in his sight
(Christ visits the Nephites)
Always, always to walk in the light.
Verse 3:
(family praying)
Father in Heaven, we thank thee this day

For loving guidance to show us the way
Grateful, we praise thee with songs of delight
Gladly, gladly, we'll walk in the light.
