I am Like a Star
CS p. 163

Materials:
Posterboard (yellow)
markers
scissors
glue

To Assemble:

Cut out a large star from the posterboard.  An easy way to get a symmetrical star is to draw it on the back (with all the lines going through the middle) and then cut out.

Cut off the points of the star.  You will have five triangles and a pentagon.  In the center of the pentagon, you can place this illustration

and the words, "I am Like a Star" - or just the words.

On each of the points of the star (the triangles), glue the illustrations.

Voila!  You have a puzzle the children can put together as you sing the song.  You can also hide parts of the star in the room, or make star headpieces with the leftover posterboard for your helpers to wear.  Senior Primary will have this song down pat very quickly, so try singing it backwards or find another 4/4 tune to put the words to.

Art

To save an image (they are reduced to fit your screen), simply place your mouse icon over the picture, click on the right mouse button, and "save as".  Then, you can pull it into your word processor or graphics program like regular clipart.
The images will be larger and clearer than they appear on the screen.
