Materials:
There are 8 doors with the cities or people that Alma the Younger and Ammon served. Ammon served the Lamanites, and Alma served the Nephites. Explain the coversion of both men, and tell how much they wanted to serve missions. Ammon even gave up the throne, and Alma left his position as High Priest to serve the Lord.
Behind each door is an overview of the missionary story that goes with the city or people. Two cities (Moroniha and Middoni) are not cities that they served in. Place a sheet of paper with a red "X" behind these doors. If a child picks one of these doors, tell them that Ammon and Alma didn't serve a mission there. Ammon was on his way to Middoni to save his brother Aaron from prison when he ran into King Lamoni's father.
For the Junior Primary, have the children choose a door, and then dress them up to act out the missionary stories.
For the Senior Primary, have the children look up the stories and they can read portions from the scriptures.
AMMON:
Ishmael: recount the story of King Lamoni's conversion Alma 17 - 19ALMA:Anti-Nephi-Lehies: (People of Ammon) Alma 23 - 24
Jershon: The city that was given to the People of Ammon when they fled to Zarahemla. Alma 27
Zarahemla: Alma meets up with Korihor, and stops the wicked man's false teachings. Alma 30Ammoniha: Alma tries to go into the city and is tossed out. He perserveres and finds a companion in Amulek. Together, they preach the gospel, are imprisoned and make the walls of the prison fall by the power of God. (I would skip the story of the women and children being burned in a pit - especially with the younger ones!) Alma 4 - 16
Zoramites: Alma goes to teach, and is ashamed of the Zoramites for how they worshipped in their temples, outcasting the poor that built the temples. (Tower of Rameumptom) Alma 31 - 32

TO PLAY:
Print out the pictures of the modern missionary and the early missionary (You can find a picture of the Apostles as well). Paste to posterboard, and cut into 5 pieces each. On the backs of the pieces, write the situation that pertains to the era. Tape the pieces to the board with the situation facing out. Have a child pick a piece, and read the situation. Have the children guess if this took place in the past or in the present. They will be surprised to see the similarities in the missions! Put the missionaries together, relating the stories of the apostles.

and how it has affected their testimonies. The older kids can also
look up scripture references as you relate the stories.
