I Love to See the Temple
CS p. 95
Materials:

Preparation:
Fold a piece of posterboard into thirds. Cut the general shape of a temple from the posterboard.

Laminate.  You should be able to stand the poster on a table, foling the sides in slightly.  Tape any word strips or reminders you want to the inside for the Senior Primary.

Jr. Primary Preparation #1:
Make puppets using the paper bags.  Color in the tops and bottoms of the puppet faces.  Cut out.  Place top of face on bottom of folded baber bag, lining up the dotted line to the fold.  Lift and paste bottom of face to inside fold, lining up the dotted line.  The faces should look like this:

You could also have the children color in their own puppets to look like themselves.

Presentation:
As the children memorize the words to the song, have them "go to" the temple by walking reverently to the poster with their puppets as they sing.

Jr. Primary #2:

Hand Motions -

Verse 1
Hand Motion
I love to see Cross arms over chest
...the temple Hands in front with fingers touching, making "steeple"
I'm going there someday Keeping "steeple" shape, move arms up so they are overhead
To feel the Holy Spirit Cross hands over heart
To listen  Cup hands around ears
And to Pray Fold arms
For the temple is a house of God Hands in front with fingers touching, making "steeple"
A place of love and beauty Cross arms over chest
I'll prepare myself Thumbs to chest (proudly)
While I am young Raise one hand in the air, palm down, like you're measuring.  As you sing, lower your hand, making a "stair" motion.
This is my sacred duty. Point finger of right hand and shake in time.
Verse 2
I love to see the temple Cross arms over chest
I'll go inside someday Hands in front with fingers touching, making "steeple", then opening hands like doors
I'll cov'nant with my Father; I'll promise to obey. Right hand over heart
For the temple is a holy place Hands in front with fingers touching, making "steeple"
Where we are sealed together Clasp hands together
As a child of God, I've learned this truth: Tap forehead with index finger
A family is forever. Put hands together to make a circle with thumbs together and fingers touching - an eternal round
