Attach this poem to a box made from recycled greeting cards (see diagram). It makes a nice tree ornament or a special VT gift.
This is a very special gift
That you can never see.
The reason it's so special is
It's just for you from me.
Whenever you are lonely
Or even feeling blue,
You only have to hold this gift
And know I think of you.
You never can unwrap it.
Please keep the ribbon tied.
Just hold the box close to your heart
It's filled with love inside.
FOLDING INSTRUCTIONS:
Top of box - 4 ½" square
Bottom of box - 4" square
Use a straight edge to draw
a line from corner to corner diagonally to locate center of square.
Fold corners in to center.
Fold straight sides into center,
first opposite sides, unfold, then other opposite sides.
Unfold, and cut along third
fold lines (as shown) to center square.
Fold in cut sides and fold up
to create 2 sides of the box.
Fold remaining flaps over cut
sides to form remaining sides.
You can tape or glue the center,
if you like.
Use old greeting cards to fold your boxes. They are very sturdy, and VERY cute!
