CAMP GAMES
(From the YW Group)

We had a camp Fire of Faith Factor. The girls were divided into teams (for all of camp) with a couple girls in each age group.  For this night we tossed in a leader or two, just to even out the 3 teams.  We planned enough games that each girl had to come up one time.  A leader was the emcee, and one other leader was "Vanna," who kept score on a white board, had the props for the girls.... We hammed it up and the girls had a blast.

The rules were:
Each member of each team must come up at least once, so not just the stage lovers played...even the shy girls came up "for the team." They did not know the game to be played, they just came up and then we told them what they would play. What do these have to do with Faith? They are all white!!

Our girls, winners and losers alike said this was one of the best parts of camp. That is huge since we competed with Water skiing, beads, and tie-dying.

1. Marshmallow Swing - 2 contestants
Marshmallow tied to a 3 ft. string - contestant 1 puts end of string in mouth (can only bend at waist) and swings marshmallow while contestant 2 tries to catch it with their mouth. No hands just the mouth. First catch the most points (10pts), 2nd less (5 points), 3rd even less (2 points).

*NEED marshmallow tied to string for each team.

2. Chubby Bunnies
Each team sends up one contestant to play. Each contestant gets one marshmallow and says, "I am a chubby bunny." Then they get another one, and do it again. When the words "I am a chubby bunny" are not understandable that contestant is out. Last one standing wins the most points (10 pts), next to last fewer (5 pts), and first down (2 pts).

*NEED lots of Marshmallows

3. Charades-
Each team sends up one contestant to play. Basic charades -5 words first team 10 pts - second team 5 pts - 3rd 2 pts.

4. How many bites?
Each team sends up one contestant to play. They are shown an object to eat then they bid (like name that tune) how few bites they can eat it in. I can eat that candy bar in 5 bites. No, I can eat it in 4 bites. No, I can eat that candy bar in 2 bites. Okay, eat that candy bar. Then the contestant has 2 (or what ever the lowest bid was) hand to mouth actions to eat the candy bar for full points (20). If successful then they get the points, if not they don't. The next to lowest bidder can try for their bid ( 4 bites in this example) for 2nd place points (13) (or 1st place points if team 1 was not successful) The third team can try for their points (8).

*NEED 3 large white items to eat. (King sized Zero bars?)

8. Ash Cake Eat

Each player got one point for their team for making and eating an ash cake. (part of certification for one year - and the only way we could get them to do it)

*NEED: Ash Cake dough and ashes.

9. Pass the Life Saver.
Make sure you have even teams. Each member of each team is given a toothpick they hold in their teeth. Each team is given one (white) lifesaver to pass toothpick to toothpick down the line. If the life saver drops you start at the beginning again. We made this worth as many points as the last team was behind plus one. So the team in last place could come from behind and win!
