Beautiful
Savior
p. 62
For this song, cut out 10 of the following
mirror from heavy cardstock:
Inside each mirror, have the pictures that
go with each verse and the chorus. Have the children helping you
hold up the mirrors in front of the group as you sing.
Variations can include mixing up the mirrors
and having the children put them in the right order, turning different
mirrors around for memorization skills and hollowing out the centers of
other mirrors so the children can have their faces showing from the back
as they sing.
Verse
1:
(Point to the pictures as you sing about
them...)
Fair is the sunshine,
Fairer the moonlight, and all the stars in heav'n above;
(Place a picture of the Savior in the center
of the mirror. If you are using a picture from the library, hollow
out the center of the mirror and tape the picture in place behind the cut
out.)
Jesus shines brighter,
Jesus shines purer
And brings to all
the world his love.
CHORUS:
Beautiful Savior!
Lord of the nations!
Son of God and
Son of Man!
HONOR
PRAISE
GLORY
Thee I honor, praise
and give glory,
PRAISE
GLORY
Give praise
and glory evermore! Evermore!
VERSE
2:
Fair are the meadows,
Fairer the woodlands,
Robed in the flowers
of blooming spring;
(Place a picture of the Savior in the center
of the mirror. If you are using a picture from the library, hollow
out the center of the mirror and tape the picture in place behind the cut
out.)
Jesus is fairer,
Jesus is purer,
He makes the sorrowing
spirit sing.
